Ordering, Exchanges & Returns:
Q: What does "trunk show" mean exactly?
A: Companies that sell their product with the trunk show business model display samples of their product line and have customers order the items they are interested in. Doncaster's line is sampled in sizes 2-24, including petites, with at least one example of every piece in the line. There will be multiple samples for sizing purposes when necessary. If an item is not sampled in your size, typically there will be a similar piece in a different color or material which can be tried on for sizing purposes. Then we "paperdoll" (hold it up in front of you) the specific item to analyze the color, pattern or texture.
Q: How do I know what size to order if I can't try on the actual pieces I want in my exact size?
A: The sample line is specifically designed to also be used for sizing purposes. There is typically another piece with a similar cut that is either in your size or close enough for me to be able to determine how much to size up or down from the one you try on. The process is very simple.
Q: What if the wrong size is ordered - can I exchange it?
A: Yes, all items are purchased with a 30 day exchange/return policy - no questions asked. Within those 30 days, as long as the item is returned with the tags attached, unworn, and without any alterations, your purchase is recredited (minus shipping charges). I personally process any exchanges necessary at no expense to you - including no return shipping charges. I also make sure that your account is properly credited.
Q: What if I get the piece in and do not like how it looks on me, or I change my mind
- can I return it?
A: Absolutely. As with exchanges, all items are purchased with a 30 day exchange/return policy - no questions asked. Within those 30 days, as long as the item is returned with the tags attached, unworn, and without any alterations, your purchase is recredited (minus shipping charges). I personally process any exchanges necessary at no expense to you - including no return shipping charges. I also make sure that your account is properly credited.
Q: How long does it take to receive the clothes once they are ordered?
A: As long as items are currently in stock, the pieces ship the following business day via UPS Ground. We typically receive them within 2-3 days. As we get later in the season, more popular items will be subject to back orders. Prior to placing the order, we will know the availability of interested items. We will also know when any back ordered items will be available to ship. Once they are available, we will receive them within 2-3 days. Near the end of the season, some items may begin to sell out and could no longer be available in your size. This is why I encourage you to shop early in the season.
Alterations:
Q: How much do alterations usually cost to have the clothes tailored just for me?
A: The prices vary of course based on the extent of what alterations are needed and the alteration shop that you use. The Doncaster line is designed to be easily, and cost effectively tailored specifically for your body architecture; so, alterations will run you less than clothing lines which are not designed in such a fashion. Any seamstress should be willing and able to pin-up your garment so that you can see how the finished garment will appear and give you a quote upfront so that you can determine if its worth the price or not. The minor costs for alterations in comparison to the rest of your investment in a wardrobe that works for you is worth every penny in my opinion!
Q: I am losing weight - can the clothing be altered down to fit me?
A: Yes, most of the garments are designed to be altered down approximately two sizes. Our "miracle pant" can be sized down even further. There are certain pieces that will be more costly to alter because of detailed topstitching, etc. so we will just be careful in our selections.
Personal Services:
Q: How much do you charge for your wardrobe consulting and personal shopping services?
A: I provide an initial one hour consultation free of charge to new potential customers. Then with those who shop Doncaster, my personal services and advice are included as value-added services. These services include: coordinating clothing selections that work with your existing wardrobe; coordinating Doncaster accessories with your new purchases and existing wardrobe; facilitating any exchanges and/or returns; accompanying you to the alteration shop; as well as deliveries to your home or office. We also offer an optional shoe coordination service, where I bring several shoe options which work with your new purchases. If you decide to purchase any of them, I simply call the shoe shop to have the charge billed to your credit card and I return those which you decided against. If you are interested in more extensive personal shopping services, I am available at an hourly rate fee - please call or email to discuss what you need.

Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Doncaster accepts Visa, MC, American Express, and Discover credit cards.
Q: What if I would like to pay by check?
A: You can write a check to Doncaster Fashionistas and once your check has cleared, I will place your order with Doncaster.
Studio Information:
Q: Where is your studio located?
A: The studio is on Cooper Road in Blue Ash - beside Slatt's Restaurant. It is located on the first floor of the office complex called Blue Ash Center. We are near the corner of Kenwood Road and Cooper Road with easy access from Ronald Reagan Highway. The address is 4866 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
Q: Is your studio a boutique which is open to the public?
A: The studio is an 800 square foot private suite where I meet strictly by appointment. The studio is set up similar to a boutique, consisting of three rooms with extensive clothing displays, two private dressing areas, and desk space for consulting and conducting business.
Q: What are your hours?
A: My goal is to remain flexible and work around the schedules of my customers, rather than have standard hours of operation. I am able to meet with you in the early morning, afternoon, evening, or over the weekend depending on your schedule! To schedule your appointment, call me (J. Q: Can I bring along a friend to my private appointment?
A: Yes, some people feel more comfortable if they bring a friend with them to the first appointment. Private appointments are usually more effective though when it is strictly one-on-one.
